Tryout Information
2026-2027 Cheer Team Try Outs:

The 2026-2027 team tryouts will be conducted by video submission only.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 6:00 p.m. EST Friday, April 3, 2026

Please read the Tryout Requirements Form in its entirety before filling out the Tryout Application and completing your Tryout Video for submission.

If you are considering CAU but have not yet been accepted and would like to try out for Cheerleading, your submission MUST be received before the deadline.
Administrative Requirements:

Current Students must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA and valid 900 student ID number, must be a full time Clark Atlanta University Student

Incoming students, Freshmen and Transfer students must provide a valid 900 student ID number once accepted to the University.

Must have had a physical within the past six months and show proof of physical (upon arrival to campus) NO EXCEPTIONS

APPLICATION Instructions

COMPLETE the Google Document application form in your internet browser by clicking on the 2026-2027 Tryout Application Form link
PHOTOS Submission
• 2 Photos – 1 Headshot, 1 Full Body (In your tryout attire).
• No FILTERS.
• No Duck Lips photos.
• No handheld selfies.
• Labeled as “Your name – HeadShot” and “Your name – Full”.
VIDEO Instructions

Access WeTransfer.com: Go to the WeTransfer website in your web browser (create a free account if necessary.)

Upload Files:

Click the "Add your files" button, or drag and drop files directly into the upload area. You can transfer up to 2GB of files for free.

Generate a link to share with others and click on the "Get a Link" option.

You will receive a verification email from CAU CHEER within 48 hours once your completed submission has been successfully received (application form, photos, and video). Follow up with Coach@caucheer.com if you do not receive a verification email, as sometimes emails accidentally get into spam folders.
***All team members are selected by the CAU Cheer Team Coaching Staff. Selections are based upon the present needs of the team. All selections are final; selection choices and scores will not be discussed with any applicants, parents, or previous coaches of the applicants.***
